You can start by simply trying to speed up the level of your metabolic rate. Here are a couple of tips on how you can speed up your metabolic rate.
1. Drink lots and lots of water. Water is, as you might know, calorie free, which means you can take in as much as you want without worrying whether or not this drink will make you look fat in the long run. Water also help the digestive system break down food in your intestines faster, and can even ward off those unwanted food cravings as well. However, it is important to remember that only plain, unflavored water is calorie free. Drinks and beverages like coffee, tea, soda, wine, beer, etc. all contain calories and even carbs. So you might want to limit these to the barest minimum. Or, if you really want to see weight loss quickly, then you might want to substitute plain, unflavored water for your other drinks and beverages instead.
2. Sleep more. A lot can be said with exercising your way to a better health, but did you know that sleeping more also speeds up the metabolic rate and burns off calories as well? Try to get at the very least 8 hours of quality sleep each day. It also does not hurt to get a few naps in between workouts.
