How to Find Dropped Contacts

I myself wear contacts for more than 10 years. I have tried a lot of types and finally found the ones that fit best. The first time I tried to put a contact lens in my eyes it took me more than half an hour, now I can do it within seconds. In my years of wearing contact lenses I have lost a lot of them because I dropped them on the ground. This article will help you how to find dropped contacts. Maybe my experiences can help you find your dropped contacts back instead of losing them and find them when it is too late.

Sometimes a contact lens can be a mean bugger. I wear day lenses so I can throw them away at the end of the day. This means I have 60 contacts a month and there is always one of them that does not want to stick to your eye. Before you know it is to late and your contact is not in your eyes or on your hand anymore.

What should you do to find your dropped contacts?

Time is important because if you wait too long there is a big chance your contacts are broken or became dry. You need to find them as soon as possible. The most important thing not to do is searching in your entire room and move to all directions. Instead you should not move and try to figure out in what direction your contact dropped. If you have a mirror close by try to reach it without moving your legs and see if it felt on your face. Sometimes it will stick under your eye or on your cheek without you feeling it.

Don’t forget to also check your hands. Many times my contact got stuck on the other side of my hand without me knowing it. If you still did not found it than search in a bigger area. Scan the sink or the table where you put your contacts in.

If you still did not find it than it is time to search on the ground or on the side of the sink or table. The times I lost my contact I found it most of the times on weird places like on the side of the table or sink. Check the surrounding area with the use of your hand and do not try to walk around your room. If you do, there is a big chance you will step on it and that will not improve the quality of your contacts.

If you did find your contact lens than do not forget to clean it thoroughly and check it if it is broken. I hope this advice helped you on how to find dropped contacts.
