Some people go through difficult years with blemishes. It can happen normally on your teenage years but in some cases, it also comes during adulthood. Blemish can happen anywhere in your body but most commonly, it affects your face. But it can also happen on your back, chest, neck, ears, and even on your legs. Blemishes come in forms of pimples, acne, boils, rashes and other skin problems. They are usually caused by oily skin, clogged pores and improper diet, pollution and stress.
Blemishes are ugly and it can definitely spoil the beauty of a person. It is not easy to get rid of them. you can use make up like foundation or concealers to hide them but it is only a temporary solution. It takes time get rid of them and sometimes it can cost you a lot of money just to clear up your face. But thankfully, there are a a lot of ways on how to get rid of blemishes naturally. You can even find some of them in your kitchen. Here are a few examples:
- Ice cubes can cool the blemish and decrease inflammation. But do not use it directly on your skin. Wrap it in a small towel or washcloth and apply it on the blemish for about 5 minutes. This will reduce the redness and swelling.
- Baking soda is also one way on how to get rid of blemishes on your face. Mix a paste of baking soda with water and leave it on your face for 5 minutes. Then use apple cider vinegar to rinse it out before using water to rinse your face again.
- Make a mixture of a dash of turmeric and a little bit of honey and lemon. Apply it on your skin for a few minutes. Do this regularly to effectively get rid of your blemishes.
- Thyme is one herb that can treat acne. It can be use as an astringent. Boil one and a half cups of water and pour it over 3 or 4 tablespoons of dried thyme. Let it steep for about 30 minutes. Then strain it and keep refrigerated. Use it as a daily facial rinse. This is also one idea on how to get rid of blemishes on your legs, back, chest and other parts of your body.
- Sandalwood is effective in clearing up your skin and keeping it from blemishes. It can soothe a painful pimple or boil and other skin inflammations.
- If you want to exfoliate naturally, then a handful of finely ground oatmeal will be a good facial scrub for your face. It is effective on removing blackheads. Just moisten it with water and rub it on your face for 5 minutes, and then rinse it well. Make sure to apply a non-greasy moisturizer after every facial scrub as exfoliating can make your skin dry.
