Ibanez Electric Guitars For Every Price Range
The Ibanez guitar company has been making guitars for over 80 years. Japanese made guitars have been quite popular for decades but none as much as Ibanez.
Ibanez electric guitars are constructed with a quality and innovation in mind. From their copycat models that were popular up to and through the 1970s, to the original masterpieces that grace us today, Ibanez has a model that will suit anyone’s playing style and tour demands.
The RG line of electric guitar is one of Ibanez’ most popular and for good reason. Some RG are made in Japan under the Prestige tag, which is Ibanez’ premier quality stamp. Many other models are made in China, Korea and Indonesia.
Ibanez is famous for its neck-through design on many of its guitars. The neck-through could be considered a guitar in itself with the remaining body fastened to it. Having the bridge, strings and pickups fastened to the extended neck gives the guitar added strength and sustain, which is a huge benefit. The only drawback is if the neck were to break it makes it extremely hard and non-cost effective to repair. On the other hand, Ibanez also offers a bolt-on neck on many of its guitar instruments that although may not have the same sustain benefits as the neck-through, has the ability to be swapped out in the case of breakage, cracking or twisting, with minimal effort.
A couple of cult classics from Ibanez are the Iceman and the Black Eagle bass. The Iceman was introduced in the 1970s and was used by the quite famous Kiss frontman named Paul Stanley. The Iceman was an original design guitar from Ibanez and was a definite classic from the era. The Black Eagle was a gorgeous bass guitar that was a little tricky to play on the high frets because of the unique curled horn design. The Black Eagle has become quite popular again and is being sought by guitar nostalgia buffs worldwide. Krist Novoselic of Nirvana created quite a following of Black Eagle enthusiasts because of his use of the instrument.
Ibanez has a guitar for every level of player, whether you’re entry level and on a budget or a seasoned pro looking for your next expensive trophy. Check out your local guitar shop and take an afternoon to test out a few different models until you find one that’s suits your budget and playing style. You will be hard pressed to find another guitar brand that has such great quality at reasonable prices.
