What Are Hemorrhoids? Are They Treatable?
Hemorrhoids are a kind of ailment that affects a person’s anus. Often, they are not seen, but the one afflicted with them can definitely feel its pain. Hemorrhoids give you a burning sensation, and they also itch a lot. Most people do not realize they have them because hemorrhoids are hard to notice. Hemorrhoids are known as swollen veins in your anus. Even though many people do not notice them, they are incredibly common. This is why; there are so many commercials that feature cures for hemorrhoids. Most people will become afflicted by these diseases, by the time; they will be at least fifty years old.
Hemorrhoids are usual the result of some sort of weakness in your veins. Childbirth can also cause a weakness in your veins therefore, causing hemorrhoids. That is why hemorrhoids are more common with pregnant women, compared with other women. The pressure that is exerted on the veins will result in hemorrhoids during childbirth. However, this is just temporary, hemorrhoids that are caused due to childbirth, are usually just temporary. Hemorrhoids are also caused by everyday strain from your diet. If your diet is packed with refined food and you do not have enough fiber to create good stools then there is a good chance that will develop hemorrhoids. Even though the cause of hemorrhoids is internal, hemorrhoids can either be internal or external.
Although most people think, that when they have hemorrhoids, there will be blood in there stool. This is wrong. There are many other digestive diseases that involve blood coming out of your stool. That is why a proper diagnostic check up, from your doctor should be done before taking any kind of medicine. This may be very embarrassing but the doctor will examine your anus and rectum for any abnormalities so that they can check if you have hemorrhoids or not. He or she can then tell you how to get rid of hemorrhoids.
In conclusion, hemorrhoids are a disease that affects the anus. Hemorrhoids are caused by your veins located near your anus becoming swollen. Just because the veins are inside your body, does not mean that a hemorrhoid can manifest itself outside your body, because it can. Hemorrhoids are also common with women during childbirth. The pressure created by giving birth to a child can also cause hemorrhoids. Usually hemorrhoids caused by giving birth to a child is just temporary, so pregnant women do not need to worry about it.
